You must be 18 years of age or older

Current adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with hands-on training.
**Online CPR courses are not accepted. International CPR is accepted from a recommended CPR provider in the country your exam is administered.

The CI-CPT exam is given in Pearson VUE testing centers.
There are two ways to register:

NOTE: Register under the name shown on your photo ID and CPR card. These documents must match the registration name or you will not be admitted to the exam. Exam fees are non-refundable 24 hours before the exam time.
70 questions correct out of 100 questions (70%)
You will receive a score report and an individualized feedback report at the testing center. Official results are mailed two weeks after the exam date.
The CI-CPT is a 3-year certification. Certifications that are kept in good standing are eligible for certification renewal every three years. Renewal details may be found in the Certification Renewal section online.

You may retake the exam at anytime. Contact the Certification Manager at 800-635-7050 to purchase a discount voucher for $195. Discount vouchers are redeemed with Pearson Vue when scheduling your retest.

Pearson Vue. Exam fees will not be refunded with less than 24 hours notice or if you do not show for the exam appointment.
